Damyang Bamboo Grove

Damyang is eco-friendly city that has a lot of trees and forests in Korea.

Juknokwon is the biggest bamboo forest in Korea, it is sixteen thousand square meter.

So, this place is a must-see in Damyang for tourists.

There are so many bamboos, these bamboos forms beautiful bamboo grove. 

If you sit on a bench and enjoy seeing nature, it makes you feel at ease. 

Bamboo forest is cooler than outdoor's weather, because bamboos produce oxygen continuously. When it is hot weather, this place dried your sweat off.

Bamboo is lightweight, hollow, but strong. 

If you visit Damyang bamboo grove in summer, you can see not only bamboo but all kind of beautiful flowers.

Damyang Bamboo grove is really attractive because this place has various landscape at each season. In spring, you can feel spring breeze and scent with bamboo. In summer,  this place will be summer resort with bamboo forest and you can feel cool by sweating off . There are a lot of maple trees with bamboo in fall, so you can enjoy picturesque scenery. In winter, harmony between bamboo and snow present a grand sight.

Juktongbab(Rice in bamboo tube)

When you visit Damyang Bamboo grove, you must eat 'Juktongbab (rice in bamboo tube)'. It is made of more than 3 -year-old bamboo with glutinous rice, black rice, black soybean, ginkgo nut, chestnut and jujube. 

Damyang Tteok Galbi

Damyang tteok galbi is the most famous Tteok Galbi in Korea 

Korean Banquet Noodle

Korean Banquet Noodle is another local delicacy in Damyang. 

You can have a taste rich flavor of soup.

Chuncheon Nami Island

Nami Island is located in between Gangwon-do and Gyeonggi-do.

Nami Island is half-moon shaped in Bukhankang and this island is made by building a Cheongpyeong dam.

Especially, this place is famous for Korean drama 'Winter Sonata' starring Bea yong joon and Choi ji-woo.  

There are gallery, museum and you can make pottery and souvenir in person. With so much to see and enjoy, I'm sure you will fall in love with Nami island. 

If you visit to Nami island, you should take a ship. 

It is the first scenery when you get off a ship.

You can see pine trees planted along the roadside and you can feel and exotic atmosphere with metasequoia road. 

Many pictures are on display along the tree road.

Ginko tree road of central square in the fall is like spreading a gold carpet. And, if you walk along the riverside with someone you love it will be forgettable memory.

Seorak Mountain National Park

Mt. Seorak range from Inje-gun to Sokcho-si , Ganwon-do. 
Seorak is the third highest mountain in Korea and the height of mountain is 1,708m. Mountain’s name ‘Seorak’ means ‘snow melts after fall’, so this mountain also called ‘Seol’, ‘seolhwa’ and ‘Seolbong’.

There are many beautiful sceneries of nature. So if you plan for Mt. Seorak in advance, you will be able to enjoy your travel even more!

Daecheongbong is the highest peak in Seorak mountain.

You can see this vally on your way to Dacheongbong. 

After going to 670 meter by cable car, walk for 20 minutes.
Then, you can see Bonghwadae that is stone fortress.

 Yongajangsung named after 'teeth of dragon'.
Because shape of peak is like as teeth of dragon.

Garinungsun(ridge) is called 'Matterhorn' of Seorak Mountain. 

Ulsan Bawi has a myth.

This course is 3.2 km.
It takes about 2 hour.
Although you are hiking beginner, you can hike easily.
Challenge this course first!

Gwunguemsung Course

This course is 1.5 km and It takes about 1 hour.
It is the easiest course all of the hiking course in Mt, Seorak.
I also recommend this course to beginner.
